Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Analyst on the Risk Analytics team to own ATO and scam risk controls across the Coinbase ecosystem. You will define risk metrics, build defenses, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to stay ahead of threats.

You will analyze large datasets using SQL and Python, build dashboards, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for senior leadership. This remote-first role requires collaboration across functions and regions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on risk experience in e-commerce or financial services.
• At least 2 years focusing on combating ATO and scams in Fraud/Trust and Safety/Account Security.
• 2+ years of data analysis using SQL and Python with large-scale databases.
• Proficiency with BI tools to build dashboards and reporting frameworks.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and fraud trends in cryptocurrency.
• Ability to independently scope and deliver analytics projects cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end risk controls for ATO and scam prevention as the business expands.
• Define risk success metrics and reporting frameworks; drive continuous improvement.
• Leverage data to assess risk and quantify tradeoffs for large customer segments.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to develop risk strategies across Coinbase products.
• Synthesize data findings into narratives influencing risk and product leadership.
• Investigate and mitigate fraudulent activities by reviewing alerts on anomalies.
