Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on risk experience in e-commerce or financial services, with focus on ATO and scams.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis using SQL and Python with large-scale databases.
• Proficiency with BI and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Superset) to build dashboards.
• Ability to scope and deliver analytics projects with cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and crypto fraud trends.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end risk controls for ATO and scam prevention, scaling processes as the business grows.
• Define risk success metrics, build reporting frameworks, and drive improvements.
• Use data to assess risk and make decisions impacting large customer segments.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science on risk strategies across Coinbase products.
• Synthesize data findings into narratives for senior risk and product leaders.
• Investigate and mitigate fraudulent activities by reviewing alerts on anomalous behavior.
