Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Analyst on the Risk Analytics team to own ATO and scam risk controls across the Coinbase ecosystem. You will define risk metrics, build dashboards, and partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to stay ahead of evolving threats.

You will analyze large datasets with SQL and Python, synthesize actionable insights, and communicate outcomes to senior leadership. This remote-first, hybrid role emphasizes scalable risk practices and cross-functional impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on risk experience in e-commerce or financial services.
• 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis using SQL and Python.
• Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools to build dashboards and reporting frameworks.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and fraud trends within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
• Ability to independently scope and deliver analytics projects while collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end risk controls for ATO and scam prevention, scaling processes for new products and regions.
• Define risk success metrics, build reporting frameworks, and drive continuous improvement.
• Leverage data to assess risk and make decisions impacting large customer segments.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to develop risk management strategies for Coinbase products.
• Synthesize data findings into narratives and recommendations for senior risk and product leadership.
• Investigate and mitigate fraudulent and scam activities by reviewing alerts on anomalous behavior.
