Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend (Platform - Identity) to own user-facing experiences for login, signup, OAuth, and multi-factor authentication. You will lead frontend delivery, define Native vs. Webview strategies, and mentor engineers as the team scales.

You will drive architecture choices, review designs, and proactively address technical debt to improve reliability and velocity across the Identity surface.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production frontend engineering experience with React and TypeScript.
• Experience leading end-to-end frontend delivery of complex projects.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive frontend best practices.
• Experience deriving design and technical requirements from ambiguous initiatives.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end frontend projects from design to deployment and monitoring for authentication scopes.
• Author and review technical design documents and actionable plans.
• Drive architecture strategy for authentication surfaces across Native vs. Webview.
• Identify and resolve technical debt and improve code quality team-wide.
• Lead team rituals, on-call rotations, and incident response; mentor junior engineers.
