Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI Transformation, to join the IT Operations team within ESTO. You will own the reliability, observability, and automation of the AI infrastructure that powers our products at scale, working closely with platform and product teams across Coinbase.

You’ll build full‑stack applications in Go or Python, design reusable APIs, and mentor peers while raising the bar on code quality and operational excellence in a fast‑paced, incubator‑style environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years automating and supporting AWS cloud infrastructure and networks.
• Experience deploying Docker and Kubernetes in production.
• Proficient in Python, Bash, Ruby, or Go with Git-based CI/CD.
• Platform-builder mindset with reusable infrastructure and APIs adopted by multiple teams.
• Generative AI used responsibly with human oversight and measurable improvements.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI infrastructure and production-grade systems.
• Design APIs and tooling to enable product teams to integrate AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with platform and product leadership to align infrastructure requirements.
• Establish architectural patterns and mentor engineers to improve observability and reliability.
• Build full-stack apps powering internal AI products using Go or Python.
