Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for Core AI Infrastructure to own the reliability and automation of critical AI infrastructure. Work spans production-grade distributed systems, data pipelines, and deployment orchestration to support internal AI products.

You will shape standards, mentor engineers, and build scalable, observable systems in a remote-first but in-person-surges culture, using Go or Python.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience automating and supporting cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Hands-on use of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt).
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes in production.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI products by building production-grade distributed systems spanning service, data, and deployment layers.
• Design APIs and tooling to enable product teams to adopt AI without bespoke infra work.
• Align infrastructure requirements across Platform and other groups; define shared platform contracts.
