Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive AI transformation on the IT Operations team. You will own reliability and automation of AI infrastructure, ensuring resilience, observability, and scale across the stack.

You’ll build production-grade distributed systems, design APIs, mentor engineers, and shape platform standards while collaborating with leadership and product teams on infrastructure needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years automating and supporting cloud infrastructure (AWS) and networks.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting containerized workloads (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, Ruby or Go and Git-based CI/CD workflows.
• Design of reusable infrastructure, APIs, and platform abstractions.
• Gen AI usage with human oversight to improve workflow metrics.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of AI products by building production-grade distributed systems.
• Design APIs and tooling to enable teams to use AI with minimal bespoke infra.
• Partner with Platform and product groups to align infra requirements.
• Set engineering standards, mentor engineers, and improve observability.
• Build full-stack apps powering internal AI products and infra using Go or Python.
