Job summary

xCures, a distributed, remote-first company, seeks a Senior AI Software Engineer to design and scale AI-powered systems in healthcare. You will report to the Head of AI Engineering, building systems that deliver more, faster, with quality while shaping engineering patterns across the team.

You will drive architecture, ship production code, and collaborate across teams to remove bottlenecks. This role demands deep CS fundamentals, hands-on AI experience, and a self-directed, results-oriented

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered workflows and software.
• Experience with AWS and GCP.
• Strong proficiency in an object-oriented programming language.
• Experience with database design and scaling.
• Demonstrated experience with software performance and optimization.
• Experience in a highly regulated industry (healthcare, finance).
• Experience with event-driven architecture or CQRS.
• Strong CS fundamentals and algorithmic thinking.
• A systems thinker who uses first-principles reasoning and self-direction.

Responsibilities

• Own software design and architecture, making scalable technical decisions.
• Write and ship production code across features and fixes with quality.
• Identify and clear roadblocks that slow delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to land on company-priority solutions, end-to-end.
• Promote AI-forward development workflows to increase velocity.
• Contribute to new platform and product deliverables as architecture evolves.
