Job summary

Alt is building an AI-native engineering platform for real-time pricing and trading of alternative assets. As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will own the cloud footprint (AWS), drive production-grade environments, and improve observability.

You will partner with product engineers to scale cost-efficient infrastructure. This foundational hire sets standards, mentors teammates, and defines deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in infrastructure, platform, or SRE with AWS expertise.
• Own CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling at a growing company.
• Experience building non-production environments.
• Strong observability and incident response track record.
• Excellent collaboration and documentation skills.
• Bonus: cost optimization experience at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud infrastructure end-to-end in AWS.
• Build reproducible environments for engineers and AI agents.
• Fix staging and non-production reliability.
• Bring Terraform under control and improve IaC.
• Own observability and incident response across the stack.
• Be a multiplier: mentor, document, and raise the standards.
