Job summary

AlphaGov, a public-sector consultancy, seeks a Human Services Needs Assessment Consultant to translate community voice and service-system analysis into funding priorities and an actionable strategy. This remote-first, project-based role may involve travel for client sites.

You will design and lead assessments, collect diverse data, and engage residents and stakeholders through interviews, focus groups, and workshops to inform decision-ready recommendations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading human-services, community-needs, behavioral-health or related social-impact assessments.
• Strong mixed-methods research, data analysis, community engagement and report-writing skills.
• Ability to translate needs and findings into equitable funding priorities and implementation recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead a community human-services needs assessment across priority populations and service areas.
• Collect and analyze demographic, socioeconomic, utilization, outcomes, and community-feedback data.
• Engage residents, providers, CBOs, funders, and public agencies via interviews, focus groups, and workshops.
• Map service capacity, gaps, barriers, and equity considerations across the local system.
• Develop prioritized funding recommendations, options and reports for proposals.
• Contribute specialist qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permitted.
