Job summary

AlphaGov is seeking a Workforce Development Program Consultant to build port operations and city training pipelines. This remote-first role involves travel as client work requires and operates on a 1099/project-based basis.

You will design and coordinate training, recruitment, and apprenticeship pathways, partnering with employers, education providers, and public agencies to achieve measurable talent outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience designing or managing workforce development programs.
• Knowledge of employer engagement and career pathways.
• Strong facilitation, partnership management, and performance measurement skills.
• Comfortable with 1099/project-based contract and remote-first work with travel.

Responsibilities

• Assess port, maritime, logistics, and adjacent-industry workforce needs and occupational pathways
• Design or strengthen training, recruitment, pre-apprenticeship, apprenticeship, and placement pipelines
• Coordinate employers, labor and community partners, education providers, and municipal workforce programs
• Develop program models, partnership agreements, implementation plans, budgets, and performance measures
• Support outreach, participant-centered design, and continuous-improvement processes for workforce programs
• Contribute specialist qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when permissioned
