Job summary

AlphaGov, a public-sector consultancy, seeks a Human Services Needs Assessment Consultant to translate community voice and service-system analysis into funding priorities and an actionable strategy. This remote-first, project-based role may involve travel for client sites.

You will design and lead assessments, collect diverse data, and engage residents and stakeholders through interviews, focus groups, and workshops to inform decision-ready recommendations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading human-services, community-needs, behavioral-health or related social-impact assessments.
• Strong mixed-methods research, data analysis, community engagement and report-writing skills.
• Ability to translate needs and findings into equitable funding priorities and implementation recommendations.

AlphaGov (Casa Moon LLC d/b/a AlphaGov) delivers public-sector consulting for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans human-services planning, emergency management and continuity planning, housing and community development, grant administration technical assistance, research and program evaluation, and applied field operations support.

We engage experienced practitioners as project-based collaborators. Engagements are remote-first with travel as required for client and field sites. We build teams for current live pursuits.

This opportunity is contingent upon contract award and final staffing approval. Permission will be requested before including a candidate's name or resume in a proposal.

What you'll do:

Required:

• Experience leading human-services, community-needs, behavioral-health, housing, or related social-impact assessments
• Strong mixed-methods research, data analysis, community engagement, and report-writing skills
• Ability to translate needs and service-system findings into equitable funding priorities and implementation recommendations
• Comfortable as a 1099 / project-based collaborator; remote-first with travel as client work requires

Nice to have:

• Experience with municipal human-services planning, community development, homelessness, behavioral health, or public health
• Familiarity with equity-centered assessment, participatory research, and federal or state funding programs
• Prior work with cities, counties, community-based organizations, or public-sector funders
