Coinbase is a remote-first company with quarterly in-person surges and a mission to increase economic freedom. We seek an experienced leader to scale the HR Engineering team, owning Workday and related HRIS initiatives across U.S. and India.

You will mentor engineers, drive automation, and partner with security and other stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable HR solutions. The role emphasizes transformational projects, strong stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement in HR

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in HRIS or HR systems
• 3+ years leading an applications team supporting HR functional area
• Experience with Workday and related integrations
• Experience integrating with HR platforms such as ATS, LMS, Performance systems
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical partners
• Experience applying Lean, Agile, ITIL or process improvement

Responsibilities

• Scale and grow the HR Engineering team by hiring, onboarding and training new analysts and engineers to support Workday and HR functional area
• Provide functional & technical leadership and mentoring to team members
• Supervise the day-to-day activities of our Workday instance
• Design user-friendly processes, guidelines, and documentation
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to analyze business requirements and drive planning, development, testing and implementation of the system
• Identify opportunities for automation within all HR processes
• Drive regular reviews and support implementation of HR system upgrades or patches
• Stay updated on trends in HR technology space
• Participate in and/or lead projects focused on continuous improvement
• Scale and build cross-functional teams across a geographically dispersed organization including U.S. and India
• Manage vendor RFPs and relationships to drive buying decisions for HRIS and related systems
