Job summary

Coinbase, Inc. seeks a Senior Manager, Head of KYC in Central Compliance to own global strategy, policy, and program execution for KYC across Coinbase regulated entities. You will lead a global team and coordinate with Legal, Compliance, operations, product, and regulators to scale the program.

You will drive end-to-end KYC direction, oversee issue management, and deliver senior leadership KPI reporting. The role balances regulatory rigor with business velocity and requires global jurisdiction

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience designing, managing, and implementing KYC programs at a financial institution, with direct people management.
• Deep knowledge of global AML, CTF, and sanctions regs (e.g., BSA, USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN CDD Rule, 4MLD/5MLD/6MLD, OFAC).
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into scalable KYC program design across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience as senior escalation point for KYC/onboarding matters, advising on client risk and regulatory guidance.
• Experience leading concurrent regulatory initiatives, jurisdiction launches, and program enhancements in a matrixed org.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end strategic direction of Coinbase's Global KYC program, including policy development and enterprise-wide process design.
• Lead a team of KYC professionals across second-line compliance.
• Drive KYC issue management with oversight of corrective actions and enhancements.
• Partner with sales, product, engineering to design KYC initiatives for new products and launches.
• Serve as DRI for regulatory reporting and provide executive KPI reporting.
