Job summary

Coinbase seeks a Software Engineer to join the CDP Payment Acceptance team within the Developer group. You will own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and the React/Next.js merchant checkout experience, building durable payment workflows and onchain settlement.

You will collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase's developer platform, shipping observable, performant features on a remote-first, hybrid model with

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience shipping production systems in Go and TypeScript/React.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) including migrations and performance.
• Proven API design experience (protobuf/gRPC, REST, OpenAPI) with observability tooling.
• Experience building durable workflow systems (Temporal, Cadence, or Step Functions) or with onchain payment patterns.
• Clear design docs, PR descriptions, and runbooks to enable cross-team collaboration.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end feature delivery across Go backend services and React/Next.js checkout UI.
• Build and refine buyer checkout UI with a focus on conversion, accessibility, and performance.
• Implement durable payment workflows using Temporal for onchain settlement and reconciliation.
• Instrument changes with logs, metrics, and traces; participate in on-call rotation.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and engineering teams to integrate Payment Acceptance into Coinbase platform.
