Coinbase is seeking a backend-focused engineer to own end-to-end money movement features, leveraging distributed systems and modern APIs. You will collaborate across teams to design secure, scalable solutions for stablecoins and payments within a remote-first environment that values in-person surges.

You will contribute to performance, reliability, and architecture decisions while maintaining human oversight and responsible use of AI to improve workflows and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend experience in fintech/payments/crypto environments.
• Experience designing distributed systems and APIs.
• Ability to serve as DRI for technical projects and end-to-end delivery.
• Familiarity with blockchain/crypto tech such as stablecoins or smart contracts.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end backend features for stablecoin-based money movement.
• Build backend systems, APIs, and infrastructure for payments.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Infrastructure, and Compliance on architecture.
