Job summary

Cello is an AI-powered infrastructure company helping SaaS clients with rapid growth. Our remote-first team builds APIs, attribution models, MCP integration, AI-based assistants, and analytics.

We ship across environments customers don’t control, using modern tech stacks and cloud-native patterns. We seek engineers who work with stakeholders, own features end-to-end, influence architecture, and embrace the latest AI advancements to accelerate delivery.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Deep backend experience with NestJS or Python, and hands-on AWS knowledge from running services in production.
• Fluent in TypeScript and JavaScript - it's your daily driver, not a language you've dabbled in.
• Infrastructure as code - Terraform (or similar) is second nature.
• Strong observability experience with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, structured logging, and dashboards and alerting that actually help during incidents.
• Know when \
• Strong problem-solving abilities; able to break down complex, ambiguous problems and ship pragmatic solutions.
• Contribute ideas and challenge assumptions, not just execute.
• Curious about the product and why we're building it.
• Bleeding-edge agentic coding: Claude Code, Cursor, multi-agent setups.
• You know how code and systems actually work. You can debug and carry weight in a codebase without hand-holding.
• Strong work ethic; ownership and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Direct collaboration with stakeholders; no walls or ticket factory.
• Build new features and improve existing systems.
• Balance speed and foundation work to decide where to lean.
• Influence architecture and product direction, not just tickets.
• Adopt the latest AI improvements to speed up development and shipping.
