Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a C++ Developer for internal tooling and data pipelines supporting AI training. You will design, build, and optimize high-performance C++ systems used in AI data flows and evaluation workflows.

This remote contract role offers 20–40 hours per week, with freelance autonomy and opportunities for ongoing work as projects scale.

You will embed scripting languages, profile bottlenecks, and collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to advance model training.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of production-grade C++ experience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.
• Experience with high-performance systems and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-performance C++ systems for AI data pipelines.
• Develop backend services and tooling for large-scale data annotation and QC.
• Improve reliability, performance, and safety of production C++ codebases.
• Profile and benchmark code to identify bottlenecks and scale data processing.
• Embed scripting languages within C++ apps to enable flexible tooling.
• Collaborate with data, research, and engineering teams to accelerate model training.
• Participate in design reviews to iterate on system architecture.
