Harrington Group, Inc. is seeking Fire Protection Lead and Senior Lead Engineers to own complex, high-impact projects and mentor a growing team. This remote-friendly US-based opportunity emphasizes technical excellence and client engagement.

You will oversee designs for fire alarm, sprinkler, and smoke control systems, ensure NFPA/IBC compliance, and collaborate with clients and regulatory bodies. PE licensure and multi-project leadership are valued for senior levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related fields.
• PE license required for Senior Lead; preferred for Lead.
• 5+ years in fire protection with focus on complex system design; 10+ years for Senior Lead.
• Experience on high-stakes projects across manufacturing, healthcare, commercial, data centers, warehousing, or industrial facilities.
• Strong technical foundation with leadership and mentorship capabilities.

Responsabilités

• Lead fire protection engineering tasks from concept to completion, ensuring safety and code compliance.
• Develop and oversee fire alarm, sprinkler, smoke control, and fire-rated system designs.
• Perform fire hazard analyses, code research, hydraulic calculations, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with clients and authorities having jurisdiction to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineers for integrated designs.
• Review engineering documents, calculations, and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide design best practices.
• Participate in site visits, installation reviews and commissioning support.
• Support development of new methodologies and research to stay at the forefront of fire protection engineering.
