Job summary

Gigantes Group in the United States is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer (Technical Focus) to lead technically challenging fire protection and life safety projects from a purely technical perspective. This role emphasizes design leadership and mentoring without sales pressure.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and AHJs, perform code consulting, and ensure high-quality, compliant deliverables across diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
• PE license in Fire Protection Engineering (required or in process).
• Strong knowledge of NFPA, IBC/IFC, and local codes.
• Experience in a consulting engineering environment.
• Desire to focus on technical excellence rather than sales or BD.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery of fire protection and life safety projects.
• Perform detailed code consulting, life safety analysis, and system design.
• Design and review fire alarm, sprinkler, smoke control, and special hazard systems.
• Prepare technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineers.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and AHJs.
• Ensure quality, compliance, and consistency across project deliverables.

About the Role

This role is for a purely technical Fire Protection Engineer — someone who wants to focus on solving complex engineering challenges without the pressure of sales or business development.

You’ll join a highly respected consultancy delivering technically challenging work across commercial, industrial, healthcare, mission-critical, and infrastructure projects. This is an ideal role for a senior engineer who enjoys deep technical involvement, design leadership, and mentoring — without carrying BD targets.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead technical delivery of fire protection and life safety engineering projects
