Job summary

Techinfo Services is seeking a FinOps Engineer to manage and optimize Azure cloud costs, improve financial accountability, and drive cost governance across cloud and Databricks environments. This is a 100% remote role based in Spain, with no sponsorship offered.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in FinOps or cloud cost management, strong Azure pricing knowledge, and hands-on experience with Azure Cost Management and Power BI. Familiarity with Databricks billing is a plus.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in FinOps, cloud operations, or cloud cost management.
Strong knowledge of Azure pricing, billing, and cost optimization.
Hands on experience with Azure Cost Management and Power BI.
Knowledge of Databricks billing and DBU based pricing.
Experience with scripting and automation for cost reporting and governance.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate cloud usage into financial insights.

Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and forecast Azure cloud spending using Azure Cost Management, Power BI, and custom dashboards.
Implement tagging standards, cost allocation, showback, and chargeback.
Identify cost optimization opportunities through rightsizing, resource cleanup, reserved instances, savings plans, and storage tiering.
Optimize Databricks costs by analyzing DBU consumption, compute usage, autoscaling, serverless workloads, and job configurations.
Implement budgets, cost alerts, Azure Policy, and Databricks cluster policies.
Automate cost controls, non production shutdown schedules, and anomaly detection.
Build cost dashboards and reports to support business decisions.
Collaborate with engineering, finance, and leadership teams to improve cloud cost efficiency.
