Job summary

The Richards Group, an IMA Company, seeks a Financial Strategist to translate complex financial data into clear client insights and support self-funded and level-funded client strategies.

You will perform financial modeling, claims projections, IBNR analysis, and renewal analyses, consulting on stop-loss programs, funding strategies, and carrier negotiations, while representing the Financial Strategy function in client discussions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of similar or related experience
• Prefer college graduate, 4-year degree or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with MS Office Suites
• Understand concepts of underwriting and actuarial computations
• Analyze and interpret data
• Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting timelines
• Firm and persuasive when needed, while maintaining relationships
• Handle confidential information with tact and discretion

Responsibilities

• Support and demonstrate IMA’s core values
• Interact professionally with clients via email, phone and in-person
• Prepare and manage RFPs for self-funded TPA and stop-loss submissions
• Collect, manage and review proposals on self-funded TPA and stop-loss events
• Provide recommendations to clients regarding renewal analysis
• Negotiate with carriers based on client goals
• Maintain ongoing relationships with carrier and vendor partners
• Develop and communicate self-funded IBNP analysis to clients
• Analyze data for inconsistencies and trends; present findings to client executive
• Build and customize reports to fit client needs
• Prepare client presentations and present in front of clients with direction
• Provide mentorship to analysts and perform technical review
