Job summary

Done Wright LLC is seeking a dynamic Financial Reporting Accountant to join our finance team. You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statements in accordance with GAAP, support regulatory filings, and maintain audit trails using PeopleSoft, Sage, or Xero.

This role emphasizes internal controls, SOX compliance, and collaboration with budgeting, forecasting, and cross-functional teams. Strong Excel analysis, and ability to mentor junior staff are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with GAAP and regulatory accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance accounting standards including GAAP and securities law; familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus.
• Strong understanding of technical accounting concepts related to wills, trusts & estate law, non-profit accounting, and public accounting environments.
• Ability to interpret complex financial reports and communicate findings clearly through detailed report writing.
• Experience with SOX compliance procedures and internal audits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements per GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with regulatory reports, tax filings, and other compliance documentation.
• Maintain records of journal entries, account analyses, and audit trails using PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero.
• Support internal controls and SOX compliance; assist with internal audits.
• Perform financial data analysis using Excel (VLOOKUP and modeling) to identify trends.
• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning; mentor juniors on accounting processes.
