Scilex Holding Company seeks an experienced accounting leader for its Palo Alto office who can work remotely. You will oversee monthly close, manage GL activities, and strengthen internal controls in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s in accounting or finance, 10+ years of GAAP/SOX experience, audit exposure, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Proficiency with NetSuite, Concur, Excel, Outlook and ERP systems is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 10+ years of experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and SOX.
• Strong analytical and accounting skills; understanding of US GAAP/SOX.
• Public accounting experience is a strong plus.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team; initiative and independence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; ERP experience.

Aufgaben

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes including journals, accruals, account analysis, and reconciliations.
• Manage general ledger activities: cash/investments, prepaids, fixed assets, payroll, and expense accruals.
• Assist with audits; prepare schedules and review outstanding items.
• Collaborate with Accounts Payable to refine processes and strengthen GL reporting.
• Support system implementations and enhancements to strengthen internal controls.
• Prepare tax filings and other compliance tasks as needed.
• Contribute to ad hoc projects and take on new responsibilities.
