Job summary

Yelp is seeking a GL Accountant to manage SEC filings and GAAP compliance from a remote US location. You will prepare statements for 10-Q/10-K, support investor relations, and collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Tax, and auditors.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in accounting or business, 2+ years of relevant experience, CPA or CPA-track, strong Excel/Word skills, and familiarity with SOX and Oracle is a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel and Word skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K) and related forms.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and XBRL standards for filings.
• Support investor relations with timely financial information.
• Review and ensure alignment with changes in US GAAP.
• Assist in monthly close, including equity compensation and software costs.
• Maintain SOX compliance and assist auditors during testing.
• Lead/participate in projects related to SOX and SEC reporting.
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Legal, and Tax.
• Analyze financial statements for key operations and discuss changes.
• Work on special projects and ad-hoc research as assigned.
