Placements24 seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a rapidly expanding international e-commerce business. This fully remote role is based anywhere within South Africa and involves steering financial strategy, budgeting, and reporting under IFRS.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in financial management, 3+ in a controller role, and a proven track record managing remote teams, with strong modeling and ERP skills to optimize financial performance.

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Professional qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CMA) required.
7+ years in financial management with 3+ in controller roles.
Experience with IFRS and international accounting standards.
Experience managing remote teams.

Mansioni

Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, FP&A, treasury, and compliance.
Develop and implement strategic financial plans and budgets to support growth.
Manage month-end and year-end close processes under IFRS.
Prepare financial statements, management reports, and performance analyses for leadership.
Establish and maintain robust internal controls for assets and compliance.
Lead and mentor a remote finance team, fostering high performance.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
Identify opportunities for financial process improvements using technology.
