Job summary

Xapo Bank is seeking a Financial Controller to own financial reporting across the Xapo group. This fully remote role leads the Financial Controlling and Regulatory Reporting teams, delivering IFRS/FRS 102 statements, regulatory returns, and external audits from Gibraltar context to a global, distributed team.

Responsibilities include technical accounting for crypto assets, policy drafting, tax compliance, and driving automation with NetSuite and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferred.
• 5+ years as a Controller leading an accounting function.
• Experience in banking, fintech or crypto.
• Strong IFRS and FRS 102 knowledge with statutory reporting.
• Crypto asset accounting under IFRS; on-chain reconciliations.
• Regulatory reporting including Basel capital and liquidity returns.
• GFSC/FCA exposure preferred; external audits experience.
• NetSuite proficiency; advanced Excel/Sheets; SQL/BI skills.
• Experience leading and developing a finance team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee consolidated and entity financial statements under IFRS/FRS 102.
• Lead multi-entity close, intercompany eliminations, and statutory accounts.
• Manage regulatory reporting to GFSC and FCA; client asset reporting.
• Coordinate external audits and act as main liaison with auditors.
• Develop technical accounting positions and policies for crypto assets.
• Drive process improvements and automation in close and reporting.
• Oversee tax compliance and work with external tax advisors.
• Lead and develop the Financial Controlling and Regulatory Reporting teams.
