Job summary

Heritage Holding is seeking a Financial Controller for Heritage Fencing, a fully remote leadership role with West Coast candidates preferred. You will oversee payroll, month-end closes, job costing, and financial reporting across multiple sites, ensuring GAAP compliance and strong cash management.

This is a growth-focused, entrepreneurial environment backed by private equity experience. The role requires 5+ years in construction accounting, PoC understanding, and ERP proficiency, with a CPA

Qualifications

• CPA qualification preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on financial experience with construction accounting (WIP & job costing).
• Strong understanding of PoC (percent-of-completion) and field services/project-based accounting.
• GAAP principles and financial analysis proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll across multiple sites, manage union reporting and fringe benefits.
• Lead month-end close and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements.
• Manage AP/invoicing, and apply best practices for job costing and WIP accounting.
• Conduct variance, trend and cost analysis to support decision-making.
• Manage cash flow and forecast liquidity requirements.
• Oversee budgeting and variance reporting for leadership review.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, reporting and disclosures.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and present recommendations.
• Support ownership with day-to-day operations and administrative needs.
