Job summary

Heritage Holding seeks a Financial Controller for Heritage Fencing. This fully remote role supports West Coast locations, reporting to site leadership.

You will oversee payroll, month-end close, job costing, cash flow, budgeting, compliance, and cost management while partnering with executives to drive growth. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction accounting, PoC experience, GAAP expertise, and ERP/QuickBooks proficiency in a high-growth setting, with strong communication and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on financial experience focusing on construction accounting including WIP and job costing.
• Strong understanding of PoC and field services accounting.
• GAAP principles and financial analysis proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems and standard MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Payroll oversight across multiple sites, union classifications, fringe benefits, and prevailing wage reporting.
• Lead month-end close and prepare financial statements in GAAP.
• Manage accounts payable and project invoicing with job costing and WIP accounting.
• Conduct variance, trend, and cost analyses to support decisions.
• Manage cash flows and liquidity forecasting.
• Oversee budgeting, performance tracking, and variance reporting.
• Ensure tax filings, government reporting and disclosures compliance.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and present recommendations.
• Support ownership with daily operations, reporting, and benefits administration.
