Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the National Security Sector. The role is fully remote within the United States, with occasional visits to the Fairfax, VA office.

The candidate will assist in financial reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting across programs with multiple task orders. Strong Excel skills and familiarity with government contracting concepts are required, along with clear communication and a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's with 2-5 years (or commensurate experience)
• Foundational understanding of Government Contracting concepts (CAS, FAR, GAAP)
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas)

Responsibilities

• Assist in timely financial reporting, including variance analysis and monthly reporting
• Support senior analyst in large program with multiple task orders and forecasts
• Provide analysis of key program drivers, risks, and opportunities
• Prepare data for program operational reviews
• Support month-end close processes, including cost accruals and revenue recognition
• Monitor subcontracting spend and assist with voucher approvals
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and back-office teams
