Job summary

GovCIO is currently hiring a Financial Analyst to support our National Security Sector. This position is fully remote within the United States, with the Fairfax, VA office available for occasional visits. The candidate may need to visit Fairfax a few times per year.

The role requires a Bachelor's with 2-5 years of finance experience, with knowledge of government contracting concepts and strong Excel skills. This position offers a remote-friendly environment and a clear career path within GovCIO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years in finance or program finance.
• Foundational understanding of government contracting (CAS, FAR, GAAP).
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas).

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reporting deliverables and variance analysis.
• Support forecasts and annual budgets for large programs.
• Analyze key program drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare data for program reviews.
• Support month-end close, cost accruals, and revenue recognition.
• Monitor subcontracting spending and voucher approvals.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and back-office teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
