Housing Forward is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage accurate financial operations, systems, and records in a fully remote role based in Texas. The position supports budgeting processes, regulatory compliance, and timely reporting to stakeholders.

You will ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, assist with audits, and collaborate with the CFO and leadership to advance the organization's mission.

Qualifikationen

• Three (3) years, or more, of experience in budget preparation, finance, accounting or a closely related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience with financial systems and grant accounting is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Assist in budgeting and financial administration to meet organizational goals.
• Support compliance with federal and state regulations and GAAP.
• Prepare monthly grant and contract reimbursement requests.
• Record revenue from foundations, grants, and contributions.
• Reconcile revenue, expenses, and general ledger.
• Assist auditors during audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Provide clerical support and maintain financial records.
