Job summary

Connections Health Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant to support financial statements, monthly close, and grant reporting in a fully remote role covering assigned U.S. states.

The position emphasizes accurate journal entries, variance analysis, and collaboration with government partners to ensure compliance and timely reporting. The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, at least 3 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3 years of related work experience.
• Computer skills including Excel, Word, and general ledger systems.
• The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy.
• Healthcare finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Review monthly financial results compared to budget and provide variance analytics.
• Manage the monthly market billing process, ensuring timely and accurate invoices.
• Monitor and maintain accounts receivable balances, including collection activities and aging analysis.
• Prepare, maintain, and support grant-related financial reporting and documentation.
• Serve as the primary accounting liaison for government agencies and funding partners.
• Collaborate with operational and government partner teams to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate with Revenue Cycle Department to ensure monthly revenue is accounted for correctly.
• Reconcile assigned balance sheet reconciliations and conduct month-end close analyses.
• Provide information to assist with annual financial statement audits.
• Maintain systems and controls for data integrity.
