Job summary

MOVE Texas is seeking a Finance Operations Associate to execute day-to-day financial administration and strengthen internal operational infrastructure. This role maintains core financial records—accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting—while upholding nonprofit compliance and governance standards.

The position collaborates across teams to communicate financial processes and strengthen internal systems for efficiency, within a remote or hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• At least one year of accounting, bookkeeping, finance operations or nonprofit administration experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software, expense platforms, payroll and spreadsheet tools.
• Strong time management and organizational skills with tight deadlines.
• Ability to handle sensitive donor, payroll and financial information with discretion.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and reside in Texas.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable, payroll and disbursement operations; maintain vendor records.
• Accounts receivable and revenue tracking; support grant reconciliations.
• Month-end and year-end close; budgeting and financial reporting.
• Nonprofit compliance, cost allocations and internal controls.
• Audit preparation and cross-team coordination for remote/hybrid staff.
