Job summary

Swim Recruiting seeks a hands-on Finance & Operations Manager to own the day-to-day finance function during a maternity leave. You will manage payroll, invoicing, AR/AP, cash flow and financial reporting, with exposure to the CEO and external accounting partners in Canada and the U.S.

This remote role focuses on practical, numbers-driven ownership in a smaller professional services setting, including transition with the current Director of Finance & Operations and collaboration across borders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive accounting, finance or financial operations experience.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
• Hands-on payroll experience.
• Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing and cash-flow management.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial spreadsheets.
• Experience working with external accountants or bookkeeping firms.

Responsibilities

• Monitor bank accounts, cash balances and upcoming financial obligations.
• Manage cash-flow and payroll funding.
• Maintain financial records in QuickBooks Online.
• Prepare client invoices and manage invoicing records.
• Coordinate accounts payable and payments.
• Review and process Canadian payroll; US payroll.
