Job summary

MDI NetworX seeks a Director, Finance to lead the company’s finance function, including financial operations, accounting, reporting, close, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and offshore-supported activities.

Reporting to the COO, this role balances strategic planning with disciplined oversight of onshore and offshore finance operations, building scalable processes and controls for a multi-shore model.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of progressive Finance or Accounting experience at director or senior manager level.
• Experience managing offshore, outsourced, or distributed teams in a multi-shore model.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, reconciliations, and controls.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar financial systems.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow oversight.
• Ability to design processes and documentation to enable delegation.
• Discretion handling sensitive financial and employee data.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for hybrid work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee core financial operations: AP, AR, GL, and financial reporting.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end close.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow oversight with COO.
• Support internal and external audit processes and compliance.
• Maintain financial controls, reconciliations, and documentation for reliability.
• Oversee offshore finance staff and ensure service levels.
• Develop finance process playbooks and delegation for offshore team.
• Determine which finance functions suit offshore delivery vs onshore.
• Ensure offshore handling of sensitive payroll and banking data meets standards.
