Job summary

Advocate Health internship program in the United States offers a remote opportunity for students in eligible states. The internship runs May 31, 2027 to August 6, 2027, with up to 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri business hours. Pay is $21.00 per hour.

Interns will develop automated Excel processes, assist with reviewing charges, and support revenue cycle and budgeting activities. Strong Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as junior or senior in Finance/Accounting/Business Analytics.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong communication and Excel skills.
• Attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated Excel processes to reduce manual work.
• Review and analyze discrepancies in charges and implement changes.
• Prepare financial and statistical analyses for Advocate Health.
• Extract and manipulate data for trend calculations and performance measures.
• Assist in cost accounting standards and budgeting variance analysis.
• Support budgeting, finance, cost accounting and reporting activities.
• Apply government program rules to financial activities.
• Assist with revenue cycle activities such as cash posting and insurance follow up.
• Track and update reports and handle general admin duties.
