Job summary

Metabase is seeking a quantitative generalist to lead a portfolio of analytical projects across the business and own an area of finance operations. You’ll define authoritative metrics, automate processes, and manage external experts. This role blends systems thinking with finance, analytics, and vendor management.

You’ll work in a fast-growing startup environment, collaborating across teams, learning quickly, and using AI to improve efficiency while avoiding overreliance on automation.

Qualifications

• Think in systems and build reliable processes with automation.
• Strong numeric skills across finance, analytics, and data.
• Ability to learn accounting rules and other domains quickly.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical projects to redefine how the business is measured.
• Automate workflows in finance operations and manage external experts.
• Evaluate health of sales, marketing funnel, churn, and expansion.
• Own finance domains and ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
• Lead cross-functional projects addressing operational problems.
