Job summary

Metabase is seeking a quantitative-minded generalist to lead a portfolio of analytical projects across the business and own an area of finance operations. You will define metrics, automate workflows, and collaborate with external specialists to drive reliable, scalable processes.

Based in the US, you will work in a remote-first, distributed team, bringing strong numerical skills and experience in high-growth settings to partner with cross-functional teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in a high-growth startup or similar.
• Strong quantitative undergraduate degree; MBA is a plus.
• SQL proficiency and experience with analytics workflows.
• Experience in vendor management and external collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical projects shaping business understanding.
• Adapt ARR definitions as the model evolves.
• Evaluate health of sales and marketing funnel.
• Identify links between product initiatives and expansion or churn.
• Own a finance domain (e.g., Accounting or Tax) with external experts.
• Automate workflows to minimize manual effort and standardize processes.
• Lead cross-functional projects to solve operational issues.
