Job summary

Metabase in San Francisco seeks a high-powered generalist to own and run our commercial operations systems. You will manage contracting, work with internal teams and external counsel on risk decisions, and lead key compliance initiatives across the business.

You will translate complex requirements into scalable processes, balancing big-picture thinking with detailed execution. A strong background in operations or a legal track is preferred, with comfort in numbers and business-process automation.

Qualifications

• You are a structured, analytical thinker comfortable with complex written material and ambiguity.
• You combine business judgment with strong verbal reasoning and data-driven thinking.
• You can manage multiple projects in parallel and drive them to completion.

Responsibilities

• Partner with external counsel and Sales to identify and mitigate business risks during contract reviews
• Maintain and update contract templates, terms of service, privacy policies, and related documents
• Improve and maintain systems that support commercial operations (routing reviews, contract management)
• Drive compliance-enhancement projects to reduce risk for regulated and enterprise customers
• Note: this is not a people-management role
