Job summary

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies in Raleigh, NC, seeks a property and casualty field territory underwriter to evaluate, price, and negotiate risks while driving profitable growth for our agency partners. You will work with agencies across the territory to expand the customer base and profitability.

You will lead territory development, build strong agency relationships, and collaborate with other field teams. Travel within the territory is required to support agents and expand market presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of industry experience (required).
• Minimum of 2 years of multi-line commercial underwriting experience with underwriting authority (required).
• More than 3 years of underwriting experience (preferred).
• CIC/CPCU certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite: analyze risks, price, negotiate, and decide on commercial business.
• Market: sell and solicit business across units within the territory to build relationships.
• Develop the territory: lead strategic plan development, ownership, and agency appointments.
• Lead agencies: manage agency relationships to build a profitable portfolio.
• Provide leadership: collaborate with field disciplines to ensure success.
• Research the market: stay updated on trends, competition, and risks.
