Job summary

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies in the DC Metro territory is seeking a property and casualty field territory underwriter. As a field-based underwriter, you will evaluate, price, and negotiate risks and drive profitable growth with our agency partners in your territory.

This role is remote for territories away from our Ohio headquarters; travel to agency offices is required. A bachelor’s degree or 5+ years underwriting experience is required, with 2+ years of multiline underwriting authority

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of industry experience.
• Minimum 2 years of multiline commercial underwriting experience with underwriting authority.
• CIC or CPCU or related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite: analyze risks, price, negotiate, and make informed decisions for commercial business.
• Market: solicit business across territory to build strong, diverse agency relationships.
• Develop the territory: lead strategic growth and ownership within the territory.
