Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas is seeking a Field Technical Engineer for the Flexibles Division to act as a primary technical contact between customers’ production teams and TOPPAN. You will support trials, translate requirements, and develop cost-effective, sustainable packaging solutions.

Role requires travel domestically and internationally to plants, suppliers, and customers. Remote position in the EST or CST time zones with opportunities to become the TOPPAN Expert for packaging equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Flexible Packaging equipment service or technical support.
• Hands-on mechanical abilities and understanding of equipment components.
• Knowledge of materials used in flexible packaging products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Commercial and Account Development to commercialize opportunities at target accounts.
• Support customer trials to qualify new packaging structures and drive cost savings.
• Translate customer requirements to TOPPAN technical personnel for specifications.
• Define project success criteria, analyze data, and manage projects.
• Provide routine technical service visits to optimize film use and relationships.
• Travel domestically and internationally to plants, suppliers, customers.
• Maintain thorough call reports and learn packaging equipment via training.
