Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Technical Consultant to support rapid diagnostics in Columbus and Cleveland, OH with substantial travel. You will provide on-site technical training, assist in evaluations and validations, and educate clinical staff on Abbott Infectious Disease products.

The role requires 50–75% travel and strong communication with diverse teams. Required BS in Medical Technology or Nursing, MT or RN licensure, and 3+ years clinical lab or infectious disease experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Registered MT or RN in state of residence is required.
• Minimum 3 years as a Medical Technologist or RN in critical-care or infectious disease.
• At least 1 year of implementation or Point-of-Care testing experience.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and PDF handling.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical and clinical training on Abbott Infectious Disease products.
• Lead POC Link connectivity assessments and performance optimization.
• Educate customers on clinical utility and workflow improvements.
• Support account managers with evaluations, demonstrations, and training.
• Travel up to 75% to customer sites and participate in monthly calls.
