Job summary

The Ohio State University is seeking an Advanced Field and Student Teaching Supervisor within the EHE | Teaching and Learning Administration. The Field Supervisor acts as a clinical mentor for student teachers in Ohio, overseeing placements, providing feedback, and ensuring quality supervision across designated counties.

The role supports a remote schedule from Arps Hall to school locations, requires a Master’s in Education, 5+ years of K-12 teaching, and an active Ohio teaching license; duties

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education.
• Daytime availability to conduct in-person school visits.
• Must reside in County or neighboring County in Ohio.
• Hold/held a 5-year Professional Teaching Licensure.
• 5+ years of K-12 teaching experience.
• Familiarity with Ohio Teacher Evaluation System (OTES) and OSTP; InTASC standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversees student teachers within designated counties; provides mentorship and assessment.
• Conducts multiple placement visits (approx. 4 per intern) during the semester.
• Leads up to 10 recitations with preservice teachers per semester.
• Maintains regular communication with the Program Manager.
• Completes report documentation and debriefs with student teachers.
