Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a field service technician to install, maintain and troubleshoot turbomachinery and package systems at customer sites. This remote-position requires residency in MD/OH/PA/WV to support local customers.

You will diagnose issues using test equipment, perform routine installations, and conduct preventive maintenance under supervision. The role includes comprehensive benefits and career development.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience is desired.
• Strong customer service ethic and communication skills.
• Proactive and able to take initiative to address field challenges.

Responsibilities

• Use test equipment to diagnose malfunctions with guidance from experienced personnel.
• Use hand tools, gauges and instruments to repair or replace faulty parts.
• Observe common trouble causes and perform preventive maintenance and inspections onsite.
• Perform routine installations and adjustments within standard procedures.
