Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a field service professional to install, maintain and troubleshoot equipment at customer locations. This remote position requires residing in Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania or West Virginia to support local customers.

Qualifications

• Service Excellence: Knowledge of customer service concepts; ability to meet/exceed customer needs.

• Problem Solving: Ability to recognize, anticipate and resolve problems in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical Maintenance - Power Supply: Knowledge of preventive maintenance and repairs on power plant machinery.
• Mechanical Maintenance (Oil and Gas): Knowledge of mechanical equipment and preventive maintenance in hydrocarbon contexts.
• Safety (Oil and Gas): Knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory requirements for workers and environment.
• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC): Ability to design, implement, and operate automated process controls.
• Troubleshooting: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches and tools in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Use test equipment to diagnose malfunctions and refer to schematics for guidance.
• Under supervision use tools to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts; utilize digital tools.
• Observe common causes of trouble and clean/ lubricate equipment under supervision.
• Under supervision perform routine installations and adjustments within normal procedures.
