Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an experienced field service engineer to provide hands‑on support for power transformers. You will install, commission, maintain, repair, upgrade, and service assets on-site in challenging field conditions to ensure reliability and safe operation.

Responsibilities include reading electrical and mechanical drawings, performing bushing connections and oil processing, coordinating logistics, and supporting customers to extend transformer life and grid uptime.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of transformer field service operations and transformer field testing.
• Familiarity with transformer installation and assembly, vacuum and oil processing.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel up to 85%.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and remote service activities including installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, retrofits, and replacements.
• Read and work from electrical and mechanical drawings, instructions, and technical manuals
• Coordinate logistics for service jobs, including tools, resources, and spare parts
• Contribute ideas for product and process improvements that enhance operations and customer service
