Job summary

Hudson Technologies Inc is seeking a Service Technician II for immediate hire to expand our U.S. field service team.

You will perform a broad range of HVAC/R service and refrigerant recovery tasks with minimal supervision and mentor junior Tech I team members on the job. This role involves advanced troubleshooting, on-site leadership, and customer interaction as you handle diverse projects, including retrofit conversions and decontamination procedures.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of hands-on HVAC/R field service experience with progressive independence.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification is required (by this level if not obtained earlier). OSHA-10 safety training is required; OSHA-30 is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of industrial chillers, refrigerant recovery, vacuum pumps, and electrical control systems.
• Excellent organization, time management, and clear on-site communication; proactive problem solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service jobs and refrigerant recovery with minimal supervision, often as on-site lead.
• Diagnose and resolve intermediate issues in chillers and refrigeration systems; identify leaks and faulty components.
• Assist senior technicians on complex projects like retrofit conversions and decontamination procedures.
• Coordinate on-site logistics, ensure tools and inventory are ready, and communicate progress to the manager.
• Mentor Service Tech I staff, guiding safety practices and proper procedures.
