Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a remote field service professional to install, maintain and troubleshoot turbomachinery at customer sites, supporting local bases across multiple states.

You will diagnose faults with test equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with on-site commissioning while coordinating with a technical team. The role emphasizes safety, problem solving and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Service Excellence: knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service.
• Initiative: proactive and action on self-identified responsibilities and challenges; ability to seek out work.
• Problem Solving: knowledge of approaches and tools to identify and resolve problems in a manufacturing context.
• Mechanical Maintenance - Power Supply: knowledge of machines used in power plants and preventive maintenance.
• Safety (Oil and Gas): understanding safety regulations for workers and environments.
• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC): knowledge of PLC concepts and operation.
• Troubleshooting: approach and techniques to anticipate and resolve technical problems.

Responsabilités

• Use test equipment to diagnose malfunctions with guidance from experienced personnel.
• Under supervision use hand tools, gauges and instruments to analyze, repair or replace faulty parts.
• Observe common causes of trouble and perform cleaning and lubrication.
• Under supervision perform routine installations and make adjustments within procedures.
